Over 24 hours of no sleep...
We finally made it to Verviers, Belgium on Tuesday, February 15th around 11 AM. It was a wonderful feeling to be off the airplanes and trains and at our facility in Verviers. Being at the facility meant that sleep was following closely behind! Over 24 hours of no sleep was really rough.
This is a picture of our facility. We are living above the church building. The facility is so nice, clean, and spacious. It is a good home away from home for 3 months!
Today, Wednesday the 16, we had our first day of classes; however it was only a half day. I had French and Our Western Heritage. This afternoon we went to Aachen, Germany. It was a pretty city with nice attractions. We went inside and toured a cathedral that was absolutely breathtaking. We saw delicious breads, chocolates, and cookies in store windows. Overall it has been a good first day and I am looking forward to the days ahead!
